As we approach the final few hours of our two week off work, it’s time to reflect on what we’ve done.
The weather has not been what some would want on a holiday, blue skies and blazing sunshine. This, while nice at times, is not really good weather, for us, to be out and about. It certainly wasn’t cold although most times it was cloudy but we didn’t get any rain through the day, all the rain that we had was either first thing in the morning or through the night hours.

Mrs H had heard about a farm in Bretherton, Lancashire that sold sunflowers so while we were off work we decided to pop along and see what it was like.
One place that we have driven past many many times in the past few years since owning our caravan was Windmill Animal Farm. This is a fabulous place for the whole family with lots of things to see and do.

We also went to Martin Mere Wetland Centre where we decided to become WWT members as its such a beautiful place to visit. There is far too much to see really for one day, so becoming members just made sense to us as we can now go there as many times as we wish without paying to get in. It would be worth while just to go and get a cup of tea from the restaurant and sit out side on the deck overlooking the lake and just watch the world and birds go by.
